Ugh, Sending is a keyboard, so it sees what you type. This page says plainly where that text goes, and in most configurations the answer is nowhere.
What we never do
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs.
- Nothing you type is stored on our servers or written to our logs.
- Passwords and other secure fields are never checked, and their contents are never sent anywhere.
The send check
The check that looks at whether a message is one you'd regret runs entirely on your device. It is pattern matching over the draft plus the clock — no network, no model, nothing transmitted. That is deliberate: the angriest thing you write this year is exactly the text that should never leave your phone.
On your device
Spelling, the typing fixes, autocorrect and house style are all local. They work in Airplane Mode, which is the simplest way to confirm it for yourself.
AI review
If you switch AI review on, the sentence being checked is sent over an encrypted connection to be corrected, and the corrections come back. It is not logged, written to disk, or kept; only the result is cached briefly, and that cache is keyed on a hash rather than on your words. You can instead use your own API key, or point the app at a model running on your own machine, in which case our servers are never involved at all.
Kept locally
Your settings, personal dictionary, shortcuts and recent emoji are stored in the app's own storage, shared with the keyboard. Your API key and subscription receipt live in the iOS Keychain. There is no history of what you have typed.

Settings → What leaves your device answers this for your actual configuration, and changes as you change it.
